I am passionate about childcare, education and creating an environment that caters to the very special and important needs of each individual child and family. My background in psychology and teaching has equipped me with the skills to develop a family orientated nursery school where each child and family feels special, welcome and cared for. My World is a nursery school in a class of its own- integrating children with various needs and focusing on each child holistically. Our dynamic staff members and team of therapists work together to ensure that My World maintains its high standards of education and quality care.
``I graduated from WITS University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. I have completed introductory training in Neuro-developmental Therapy (NDT) as well as Sensory Integration which is one of the frames of reference I work from when treating. I am trained in the diagnosis of dyslexia and dyscalculia and have a special interest in the treatment of children with autism, sensory processing disorder, ADHD and developmental delays. I have worked in paediatrics since 2012, both in the private and public sector, with a variety of paediatric conditions ranging from Sensory Processing Disorder and Progressive Developmental Disorders to mild, moderate and severe Learning Difficulties, to name a few. I am currently enrolled at Wits University where I am completing my Masters in Paediatric Occupational Therapy. In my practice, I place value on a holistic treatment approach and this means treating all aspects of the child with patience and love as though each child were my own. I enjoy having parents observe therapy and gaining insights into different ways they could address difficulties at home. I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of all the children I treat.``

I am a qualified speech pathologist and audiologist. I graduated in 2012 at the university of Witwatersrand. I love my job, especially when I get to work with children who are individual in their own way and my treatment is based on that. I treat everyone for their individual needs and as holistically as possible. A good communication system is always my first priority. As Opera says... “Great communication starts with a connection.”

``I have always loved working with children. Starting from a young age, I volunteered at day-care centres in the school holidays and then went on to do a gap year at a Primary School in England. I then studied Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town where I received the award for the Top Physiotherapist in my honours year. It was during this year that I did my thesis which focused paediatric physiotherapy. As a physiotherapist I have worked with children in hospital settings, rehabilitation clinics as well as at a school for children with disabilities. Paediatric Physiotherapy focuses on gross motor function, developmental milestones, co-ordination, posture, muscle imbalances, joint stability and mobility as well as overall level of function. It is my aim as a paediatric physiotherapist to give each child the best opportunity to achieve their full potential, despite any perceived barriers. Their little smiles and the joy they get when they achieve a goal (no matter how small!) makes being a paediatric physiotherapist so rewarding!``
